Kim Sanderson qualified with a BA in French and German; she also has an MSc in the specific skills required for translation. Working in-house between 1999 and 2005 for a translation company and in government departments provided valuable experience, as well as different perspectives on translation. Time working in France, Germany, Africa and the Indian Ocean has given Kim an understanding of cross-cultural communication. Kim Sanderson is a full member of both the Chartered Institute of Linguists (CIoL) and the Institute of Translation and Interpreting (ITI).
